Heartwood Furniture Co. is owned and operated by Brian Breckley, U.S. Navy veteran, craftsman, Physician Associate, and lifelong lover of old tools.

Brian has a long history of designing, building, and restoring meaningful objects. As a child, he spent countless hours in his grandfather’s workshop surrounded by stained glass and wood projects, captivated by the tools, the smells, and the possibilities. Under his grandfather’s guidance, his abilities were gently stretched and shaped through metal, glass, and wood work, laying the foundation for a life of making.

Today, Brian builds bespoke furniture and studio pieces that balance practical utility with quiet artistry. He pays close attention to wood grain and movement, allowing each piece to speak for itself. His work has naturally expanded into the world of music through the crafting of studio desks, instrument stands, guitar racks, and custom pieces for musicians and creative spaces. Alongside this, he is pursuing the art of lutherie, bringing the same patience and precision into the building of custom guitars.

Heartwood values sustainability and uses eco conscious materials whenever possible. Local Pacific Northwest species including Oregon white oak, ash, maple, and black walnut feature prominently, with Douglas fir, knotty pine, and western red cedar available for specific applications.
